Newbury care home death after resident deprived of water

“A care home resident died after being neglected by staff who failed to give him enough water during a heatwave, a coroner has found.

Fred King, 78, died in September 2021 from kidney damage due to dehydration.”

Following this case, the care home responsible has since recruited an on-site manager to raise standards of care at the care home.

In these extremely sad cases, it is important to push for the improvement in standards across comes homes up and down the country. The publicity these cases will generate is also a huge help in others coming forward who have suffered from neglect.

Here at Pabla’s, we deal with claims of neglect within UK care homes.

We aim to claim compensation on behalf of those who have received neglect within care homes, as well as pushing for an improvement in standards across UK care homes.
