Chancellor cuts income tax and stamp duty in bid to boost growth

 

In the mini-budget, the threshold before stamp duty is paid in England and Northern Ireland was raised to £250,000 – and for first time buyers to £425,000. This much needed boost will give first time buyers a better chance to get onto the property ladder.
